Swedish dance music icon Therese is going through some exciting times at the moment. She’s just started her own record label, Vixon Records. And on it, she’s got the first single ready to come out within the next couple of weeks. It’s ‘Remedy’. A song which she first released in Sweden a few years back. Now though, it’s all set for a jaunt out in UK Clubland. And not before time either. Obviously.
There’s a massive remix package that’s been created for this release, with mixes from the likes of Dank, Papercha$er, Klas Wahl & John Andersson, Zoo Brazil, Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman, Adam Turner and Haji & Sheldon. And you can listen to the lot of them over at the Vixon Records Soundcloud page.
We’re ALL about the radio edit here at Scandipop though, as you well know. And the radio edit of ‘Remedy’ is still one of our favourite ever Therese tracks. There aren’t many songs released in 2011, particularly in the dance music genre, that still sound fresh as ever in 2014. Far from it. But this one sounds like it could have been made only weeks ago. We don’t know if that classes it as timeless or ahead of its time. But then Therese has always gotten it right with Time.
Here’s ‘Remedy’ (and also check out the extended version, for a more thorough insight its hypnotic beat!);
