What’s this? The brand new single from Swedish quartet The Vanjas. A gloriously camp affair titled ‘My Girls’.
And who are The Vanjas? Vanja Lo, Bon-Ton, Mr Magnatone, and Swingin’ Zack, since you asked. They’ve been touring and releasing music for around five years now.
What do The Vanjas say? “Danger, pain, trouble – come at me. Everything’s easy, as long as you’re with your crew. The song is about a girl who’s waiting and wishing to be with her friends. She knows what it’s like to be alone, but her friends are arriving soon and she knows fun times are ahead. ‘My Girls’ is a soundtrack to hanging with your crew.”
What does Scandipop say? The song is a brilliant mix of 50s rock, 60s girlbands, and ACTUAL Christmas music. There’s a lot to love here, and we love every bit of it.
Written by? The Vanjas themselves, and produced by Tristan Jeanneau and Mark Ephraim, and mixed by Phat Fabe (The Ark, Teddybears, Titiyo, Robyn).
