That’s quite a statement! And we needed it – given that we’re still feeling broken over What Happened. A monumental oversight on the part of the Norwegian voting public.
But let’s not dwell on that. Good idea. Is that a purple-neon sunrise we see on the horizon? Let’s look to that. Let’s all be ‘Unbreakable’.
What’s the song like? An ethereal folk verse gives way to a big schlager-pop chorus with the whole thing backed by a production that wouldn’t sound out of place on a record by KEiiNO’s fellow Norwegian superstar, Alan Walker. It’s another pop masterpiece. Of epic proportions. Standard KEiiNO, really.
And another song ready to go so soon after ‘Monument’. So generous. And they’re not stopping there, either. After ‘Monument’, ‘Unbreakable’ is the second of four singles planned for release before mid-May.
What do KEiiNO say about the song? “We want everyone to feel seen and appreciated in our little musical universe that is KEiiNO, and our new single ‘Unbreakable’ is a celebration to everyone who feels they don’t fit it. The inspiration behind the song is the Russian fairytale The Snow Maiden.”
Written by? Tom, Fred and Alexandra from KEiiNO, plus Alexander Nyborg Olsson and Rüdiger Schramm.
