Roxette this morning unveiled the video for their very good comeback single, ‘She’s Got Nothing On (But The Radio)’.
It’s an enjoyable little ‘romp’. Although quite odd in that it’s Per and Marie of Roxette standing in a white room on their own singing the song, while a lot of young people are having a much better time at a party in a whole other room, in what looks like an entirely different video by someone else, somewhere else. Why didn’t Per and Marie go to the young people’s party? Weren’t they invited? Or perhaps they’re the chaperones, waiting in a different room until the young ones are too sick to continue drinking anymore and need to be driven home? Actually, the most likely explanation is that one of the girls at this party is indeed the ‘’she’’ that Roxette are singing about, the one who doesn’t have anything on (but the radio).
Either way it’s nice to see Roxette back and having a laugh (albeit on their own) in a video for one of their songs.
And the song’s still great. And we still think it’s very Xenomania too.
