Tomorrow evening, in the centre of London, the latest scandipop club night takes place. From 7pm until late, we’ll be playing the latest and greatest in Scandinavian pop, dance, and schlager. And for this one, the emphasis will be on the schlager, given that we’ve got all those songs from Melodifestivalen 2010 to spin for the first time. Well…the good ones at least!
So please do come along if you’re that way inclined! It’s always a fun night, and a rare chance to dance to the songs that you don’t get to hear on your average night out in London, but that you all know and love in the privacy of your own iPod!
We’ll also be playing plenty of the great new scandipop that’s around at the moment; songs from the new Robyn album, the infectious new single from Elin Lanto, the UK mix of ‘On & On’ by Agnes, the hot debut single from Ace of Base’s Jenny Berggren, the Eurovision entries from Iceland, Denmark, and Sweden (the Niclas Kings remix of Sweden, obviously!), PLUS what’s been our favourite song of 2010 so far – the utterly divine ‘Victorious’ by scandipop royalty, Linda Bengtzing and Velvet!
