This Saturday after the fourth and final heat of Melodifestivalen, all of the eight songs from that heat AND all of the songs from previous weeks that made the final or andra chansen rounds, will be released onto iTunes, Spotify etc etc etc. It’s always interesting to see which of the frontrunners make it to the top of the iTunes and Spotify lists – as it’s usually a fairly good indication of how the results will go in the eventual final. And this year Sanna Nielsen is herself considered a frontrunner, in that she’s one of the favourites to win the whole thing with her song ‘Undo’.
As well as releasing the song however, she’s also got a brand new EP up her sleeve. That too is titled ‘Undo’, and will be released on Saturday night after the contest. And today she premiered a brand new track from it.
It’s ‘Rainbow’. A mid-tempo ballad that crosses Ryan Tedder beats with Celine Dion melodies, and even a little bit of electronica as well. A soaring track that’s performed with all of the vocal prowess that we’ve come to expect from Sanna by now. We’re at the stage where we’d be disappointed if she didn’t belt out the number that’s been bestowed onto her. She keeps getting the good songs because she keeps delivering the VOX.
‘Rainbow’ was written by Ina Wroldsen, Per Magnusson, and David Kreuger. Listen;
