After last autumn’s divine ‘Trouble‘, Danish songstress Nabiha is back with another new single and video, ‘Never Played The Bass’.
It’s another of the new songs to be taken off the special edition re-release of her album that came out last year, ‘More Cracks’ (‘Cracks’ was the original title – see what they did there?!).
It’s a gloriously feelgood dose of typically Nabiha pop. A happy homage to decades gone by, and delivered with her usual loveable charm. And in keeping with the retro soul feeling, it even goes to the bother of containing a subtle sample of Womack & Womack’s ‘Teardrops’ in its chorus.
Christ knows what’s going on in the video, but it’s here and it’s showcasing the song marvelously, so here you go;
