Red One’s first record label signing, Mohombi, has been making various waves to various degrees around various territories in the world for over a year now. It’s fitting that Sweden has been one of the biggest receptors and heaviest supporters to his music, since both Mohombi and Red One actually are half Swedish themselves. And over the last few weeks, our favourite of Mohombi’s tunes has become quite the hit in Sweden.
It’s ‘Coconut Tree’, his duet with Nicole Scherzinger. We’ve gone into our love for the song a bit more here back in January, and even as recently as this weekend, the song has shot back up the Swedish iTunes chart – thanks in large part we reckon, to his appearacne at the Rix FM festival in Stockholm on Sunday, which was broadcast over the radio station. ANYWAY, it’s probably due to shoot up yet again in Sweden, and commence its hit impact elsewhere in the world, as now he’s gone and premiered the video for the single.
It’s set in a jungle, it features actual coconut trees, it’s got Nicole Scherzinger in it looking hot, AND Mohombi is shirtless for most of it. What’s not to love?!
