Norway spawns a brand new dance orientated popstrel in Marit Børresen. ‘Rush’ is her debut single, and you can have a listen to it below.
It’s more dance music than pop, taking on the modern update of the turn of the millennium Balearic sound that the likes of Inna is currently doing so well with. The melodies are still very pop though, and you can imagine the chorus in particular having been written with a ballad in mind. It’s not really instant, but we’ve given it a few listens over the weekend and are now officially SOLD! The best part is the post-chorus section, where the song title is repeated.
We’re not sure ENTIRELY what’s going on in the video, but our favourite shot is at 2.34 when she’s unfathomably slumped, face down on a table beside an empty bottle of Jack Daniels! Classy.
