Magnus Carlsson has last week released a brand new single. Taking things down-tempo from his previous ‘Pop Galaxy’ album, he’s put out the aptly titled ‘People Change’. And he’s offering up two versions.
The track is written by Chris Antblad (Sweden) and Ben Glover (US). Chris has produced the radio version of the track and that mix was based on the original version that Magnus recorded, which is also being released and titled the Symphonic version. That one’s got live strings by members of Kungliga Hovkapellet, and was arranged and produced by Mikael Anderfjärd and Andreas Nordqvist at MAAN Productions. So there you have pretty much everything you needed to know about it.
The two edits aren’t MASSIVELY different from one another, given that they’re both ballads. We’re a massive sucker for some lush strings though, so we’re swaying on the side of preferring the symphonic edit here and now. It’s a beauty – and it marries his vocal delivery of the song wonderfully. It also does the job of presenting the song as a heartfelt ballad a little bit better too.
You can check out a live performance of ‘People Change’ from Swedish TV a few weeks back, here.
But we wanted to hear the studio recording. And we wanted to share it with you lot too. So we asked Magnus himself if we could stream previews of both versions.
He said yes;

And if you live outside of Sweden, you can also get your hands on some of his back catalogue on CD from our online store here.
