Loreen has finally gotten round to showcasing the hugely anticipated follow up to ‘Euphoria’ – her new single ‘Crying Out Your Name’. FINALLY!
The song, which is written by Ana Diaz, Niklas Jarl, Moh Denebi, Gino Yonan, Svante Halldin and Jakob Hazell,
and produced by SeventyEight, is released on Monday (the 8th) in Sweden and Norway. However, today Warner Music have released the song as a Spotify exclusive up until its full release in a couple of days time. *SCREAM*
We’re on our multiple listen. And if you’re in Sweden, you can listen too, below.
If you’re not in Sweden though, you’ll be wondering what it sounds like (and you’ll instead be listening to her new ‘international single’). Well, it sounds a little bit like each of her three previous singles ‘My Heart Is Refusing Me’, ‘Sober’, and ‘Euphoria’, which is a good thing of course. But we’re also hearing a little bit of Emeli Sandé, which is nice. More ‘Heaven’ than ‘Read All About It pt III’ though thankfully.
It’s got all of the much loved and lauded elements of a Loreen classic (yes, we’re calling them classics). Ethereal dance music, a gut wrenching melody, and a big dose of drama laden VOX. We love that this is a great deal longer than most of her previous output though – at 3 minutes and 38 seconds, there’s more of it to enjoy.
EDIT: now non Swedes can enjoy the audio too.
Coming up at the end of the month, is the release of her debut album ‘Heal’ in Sweden. It’s out there on October 24th, however, if you live outside of Sweden you can already pre-order the album on CD from our online store here.
