Swedish Pop Princess Agnes is back – taking a break from her own ‘Veritas’ album campaign, and featuring on a new single by a fellow Swede.
It’s ‘Life (Diamonds In The Dark)’ by John Dahlbäck – the vocal version of his (instrumental) clubland hit from last year ‘Life’. Now we always like our dance music to feature vocals anyway, but when it’s bloody AGNES – well colour us intrigued.
The Billboard website were given the premiere of the single earlier today, and posted previews of the new vocal edit along with the three remixes, from Feenixpawl, Lazy Rich and Lunde Bros.
Speaking to Billboard about recruiting Agnes, John Dahlbäack said: “She’s one of the biggest pop stars in Sweden, so for me it was a big honour to have her on the track. This may not be what she’d do normally, but she’s very happy with the result.”
Amen to that.
Naturally we prefer Agnes at her poppiest, but we’re loving that she’s done this feature. Not only do we get to hear her vocals on another single (and hopefully a big international hit), but it’s a nice variation from the normal to hear her do something a lot more club orientated.
