Danish dance singer Ida Corr has returned to the scene with a hot new electropop track ‘Hold My Head Up High’.
Starting off like a slowed down, buzzed out Georgio Moroder track, but quickly elevating into an uplifting and dreamy piece of melodic heaven. Bizarrely though, just when you think you’ve figured the song out, after the first chorus she drops a beat that borrows more than a little from Michael Jackson’s ‘They Don’t Care About Us’. And that anchors the track for the remainder of its duration. It’s an inspired match though, and ‘Hold My Head Up High’ ends up being quite the little triumph. Killer middle eight too.
The single is out now and has been released outside of Denmark too.
