Swedish singer Frida Sundemo released her much anticipated album a few months back, ‘For You, Love’. Featuring the much blogged about, much talked about, and much loved tracks ‘Snow’, ‘Indigo’, and ‘A Million Years’, it’s an electronic masterpiece that is going to go down as one of the recent year classics of the genre. If she ever gets around to releasing it anywhere outside of Japan that is. *sigh*.
Yesterday though, she gifted all those around the rest of the world with another taste of the album, by uploading its title track ‘For You, Love’ to Soundcloud.
Like a lot of the songs on the album, ‘For You, Love’ shines most within its production. The usual progressive synths, electro beats, but this time infused with a surprisingly not out-of-place bit of jazz. So there you go. Frida’s sweetest of dreamy vocals are a highlight too of course – a convincing declaration that she would take a bullet for you, love.
If you needed any more convincing that Frida Sundemo was an artist worth getting excited about, then this is ‘For You, Love’;
