Swedish pop duo First Aid Kit have a put out a new single and a new video from their recent big success of an album, ‘The Lion’s Roar’.
It’s ‘Blue’ and it follows on from their previous two hits ‘Emmylou’ and ‘The Lion’s Roar’ by a being a wistful and melancholic tune. As always though, there’s a melody strong enough to lift it out of the gloomy doldrums that the lyrics seem to be pushing for.
The accompanying video has got a touch of the darker side of comedy to it. Or maybe it’s supposed to be actually quite sad. We guess it’s all in the eye of the beholder. And hope it doesn’t say too much about our future that we find the visual aspirational rather than unfortunate.
