What’s this? She’s been around for a few years now, but Swedish artist Hanna Ferm is finally releasing her debut EP today. This is ‘Ingen Aning Vart Jag Landar’.
What does that mean? No Idea Where I’ll Land
What’s on it? 7 tracks in total. The 5 singles she’s released since she switched to recording in Swedish, plus two brand-new songs, including the new single also released today – ‘Det Är Slut’. In a way it wraps up and closes the chapter which kicked off with mega-hit ‘För Evigt’ and which saw her successfully transition from Idol graduate and Melodifestivalen hopeful to a surefire staple on P3 Radio playlists and Spotify charts. And it sounds pretty damn awesome to hear all of these career era-defining songs back to back.
What’s the new single like? With ‘Det Är Slut’, it’s as if she’s packaged up the most infectious bursts of energy from some of the song’s predecessors and translated them into what’s already sounding like her next chart smash. It’s got a wonderful synth section tucked neatly away in its middle eight, too – to bring something fresh to the table.
What does she say about the EP? “I want my songs to feel like you’re sitting in on a conversation with my best friends, that the listener can relate to and sense a community with. How to go through the difficulties in life together and try to look at them positively.”
