A Norwegian popstrel that we like quite a lot, Anine Stang, has gone and made us like her even more with her new single. She appeared on NRK P3 radio last week to premiere ‘Dominoes’. It’s a catchy and ear-pleasing number with a big pop chorus and an even bigger and poppier post-chorus. And it’s got a tantalizing and ever-building verse and bridge sequence that leads up to said big pop moments. It sounds like a pop/rock song from half a decade ago that’s been given an eighties electro makeover, and then reproduced to sound like the pop of today. That might not make an awful lot of sense to you, but it’s certainly what we’re hearing, and enjoying, when we listen to it!
